Marvel is releasing the innovative hybrid title, Deadpool Role-Plays the Marvel Universe in July — offering an exciting comic adventure alongside a fully interactive module for their best-selling Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game.
As announced earlier today on IGN Entertainment, Marvel has a lot planned for Mr. Wilson this year in light of the upcoming summer blockbuster film Deadpool & Wolverine. This title provides something for both fans of Deadpool comics as well as fans of the Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game.
Cullen Bunn (Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe) brings a new Deadpool-centric comic story for fans to enjoy. The comic tale also serves as a lead-in for a brand new adventure for the RPG! Players can use either the premade profiles featuring Deadpool and his team, or use the ones they’ve already enjoyed from past RPG game nights for this new adventure.
People who love comics should grab this title for the Deadpool story from one of the character’s most successful writers, and maybe they find the RPG element to be something fun to try. People who love roleplaying games or the Marvel RPG in particular get a chance to try out a comic story for possibly the first time, opening up a whole new fun medium to them.
