He has worked for animation projects such as Atlantis: The Lost Empire and the adaptation of his one shot comic book, The Amazing Screw-On Head. He also wrote the screenplays of the 2004 Hellboy film adaptation and its 2008 sequel Hellboy II: The Golden Army, together with their director Guillermo del Toro and will co-write the script for the reboot film, Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen which was announced in May 2017.
