Kit and her friends are given the best task ever—hatching a dragon egg! But when the egg goes missing, they’ll have to band together to face down a powerful enemy in this third book of the exciting series.

It’s a new school year for Kit, Alita, and Josh. The three friends learn that their school is getting a brand-new library—and a brand-new baby dragon to help the library grow. They’re overjoyed to look after the precious dragon egg until it hatches—it’s like all their Christmases and Diwalis and birthdays have come at once! But when the egg is stolen, Kit and her friends are faced with a group of evil wizards who want to change the magical world forever. Now it’s up to the three of them to make sure the villains from their pasts don’t return even more powerful than before. With help from old allies (such as Dogon, the friendly half-dog, half-dragon), Kit, Alita, and Josh prepare for their most epic showdown so far. A spellbinding adventure about making your own choices and finding strength through cooperation.
Louie Stowell started her career writing carefully researched books about space, ancient Egypt, politics, and science, but she eventually lapsed into just making stuff up. She likes writing about dragons, wizards, vampires, fairies, monsters, and parallel worlds. Louie Stowell is the former publisher of Ladybird Books. She lives in London with her wife, Karen; her dog, Buffy; and a creepy puppet that is probably cursed.

Davide Ortu is an Italian artist who began his career in graphic design before discovering children’s book illustration. He is on a quest to conjure colorful and fantastic places where time stops to offer the biggest emotions to the smallest people. Davide Ortu lives in Spain.
