Matthew Stock (he/him) is originally from Dallas, Texas. A lifelong puzzle maker, he remembers handing out hand-written math worksheets to his sister’s friends after swim lessons and devising various word games in the back seat during family road trips. He began solving crossword puzzles in college and started constructing them soon thereafter.
His first crossword was published in the Los Angeles Times in 2019—since then, he has made hundreds of puzzles for various print and online publications, including The New York Times, The New Yorker, USA Today, The American Values Club Crossword, and Puzzmo. This is his first book of word searches.
When Matthew is not making or solving puzzles, he enjoys birding in the beautiful parks around his home, playing ultimate frisbee, trying new recipes, sharing board games with friends, and spending time with his wife and family.
