Artemis Fowl meets Dogman in the first book of this madcap graphic novel series following factions of sneaky, double-crossing fairies who will do anything for control of their world, The Garden.
Some stories will tell you that fairies are sweet, beautiful, and kind creatures who fly around with sparkly wands. But they are WRONG! Fairies are horrible, rude back stabbers who are constantly at war with each other. (They’re not even magical, for crying out loud!)
And then there’s Pip, a clueless tree fairy who couldn’t give two hoots about power and would rather just have a party. But after being tasked with delivering an important message from the root stores all the way to the top of the tree, Pip is thrown into a whirlwind adventure involving a dubious ancient prophecy, epic acorn-based warfare, and sinister plots that could shatter the delicate peace among the fairies for good. The Garden may be in desperate need of a hero . . . Too bad it’ll have to settle for Pip.

“A whirlwind adventure . . . Satirical plotting, keen dialogue, and slapstick comedy blends with sharp observations about power and bureaucracy throughout this comic confection, which culminates in a self-aware tale that’s equal parts witty and impish. –Publishers Weekly
“Topsy-turvy, chaos-filled fun . . . Fast-paced and more than a little chaotic, the story will win over readers who love broad humor and zany antics. Like the text, the illustrations are jampacked with over-the-top humor that will have kids poring over the pages to locate small details.” —Kirkus
“A wild ride . . . Dense, rich, and riotously illustrated, this is a full to the brim read for middle grade fantasy lovers.” —School Library Journal
“Unfairies is a wild, witty adventure. Pip and his scrappy crew of fairy misfits set off on an epic (and totally ridiculous) quest—packed with box fights, bug battles, and bonkers twists at every turn. The artwork is vibrant, alive, detailed in all the right places, and still bursting with energy and motion. Hilarious, irreverent, and endlessly charming—Unfairies is everything you want in a graphic novel and more. We loved every page.” —Dan & Jason, creators of Barb the Last Berzerker and Blue, Barry & Pancakes
“You'll be wowed when you step into [this] bustling, offbeat, technicolor universe. Unfairies is anarchy at its best. The dialogue is hilarious, the story is pacy and the illustrations are bursting with energy. Unfairies is enviably bonkers and I loved it. ―Sheena Dempsey, bestselling author of Pablo and Splash
“I loved everything about this book. It's just SO funny and it looks brilliant. Move over Tinkerbell, there's a new favorite fairy in town. ―Rob Biddulph, bestselling author of Peanut Jones and the Illustrated City
