Mischievous, smart and the leader of the Flock, Shaun the Sheep made his screen debut in the Wallace & Gromit film, A Close Shave, in 1995. Fast-forward to now and Shaun has become a global superstar, enjoyed by millions of fans in 170 countries across the world!

The book features 2 versions of Shaun (on two legs and four legs!), complete with Santa hat and paper chain from The Flight Before Christmas short film, and a baker's hat and pizza from the series 6 episode Baa-gherita.

Ideal for confident knitters, the book contains essential techniques and stitches at the start, with clear instructions for making the characters stand upright and a full step-by-step construction guide. The patterns are easy-to-follow, packed with photographs for easy reference, and any tricky elements are broken down into step-by-step stages. The patterns are interspersed with stills from Shaun's movie masterpieces as well as from episodes of his popular TV series, for inspiration and entertainment.
Sachiyo Ishii was born and raised in Japan. She was a money broker on Wall Street and in London before discovering the joy of handicraft after her second son was born. She learned dressmaking and Waldorf doll making and has been designing and creating dolls and toys ever since. She teaches knitting, doll making, wet and dry felting, sewing, crochet, spinning, hand dyeing, Japanese doll making and paper crafts to adults and children. She has authored a number of titles for Search Press, including Mini Knitted Safari, Mini Knitted Woodland and Mini Knitted Toys. Her work has appeared in knitting and parenting magazines and her knitted toys are very popular. She believes everyone should be involved in some kind of creative activity and loves sharing the joy of craft with as many people as possible. Sachiyo lives in Sussex with her husband and two sons.
