Desperate to save his best friend Haru from an untimely death, Seiji ventures into the underworld where years ago he’d picked up a pitch-black pomegranate that brought him untold misfortune. To his dismay, this time he lands himself squarely in the midst of a violent coup d’état against the rule of Heaven.

Her dark take on Shakespeare’s Richard III, Requiem of the Rose King, was also adapted into a 2022 anime.
