And when Nadira gets introduced to the cool new girl as “weird,” ruining her chances of making a new friend, Nadira decides she’s not going to be weird anymore! With the help of an ex-friend who made it to the cool crowd, Nadira tries to become a perfectly normal 11-year-old girl by changing everything about herself. At first, it works—suddenly making new friends and getting invited to parties is a cinch! But Olivia, leader of the Normal Cool and Popular kids, doesn’t buy it. She knows that deep down, Nadira is weird, and she’s going to prove it to the whole school! How long can Nadira keep up her ruse before her new friends find out who she really is?
Indira Dudley is an author and illustrator who loves to tell stories inspired by her life. She attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she studied sequential art. Past works include the short stories “Trouble in My Mind” in The Greatest Hits Anthology (Level Ground Comics, 2021) and both “Harm None” (2019) and “Café Dreamer” (2020) on Webtoon. Weird! is her first published graphic novel. During her free time, Indira enjoys playing The Sims, daydreaming silly little stories in her head, and tinkering with various little crafts.
