Riddle lovers rejoice! This choose-your-own-adventure-style book invites readers to solve three riddles with Wombats Malik, Zadie, and Zeke. When the Wombats receive a visit from Chanáa, an Alaskan Native friend of their grandmother, they rise to the challenge of solving the tricky riddles he poses (such as, What rhymes with skedaddle and is used in a canoe?). In a fun twist, as readers guess the answers, they’re prompted to turn to various pages in the story to see how their guesses might pan out. Along the way, riddle-solvers both on and off the page learn that they need to consider all parts of a riddle before venturing a guess. The surprise ending—a riddle with more than one answer—makes clear that an open mind may well be the best riddle-solving tool of all.
