Ruth Symons is the author of several children’s books, including A Year in the Wild, illustrated by Helen Ahpornsiri, Christmas Lights, illustrated by Carolina Rabei, the Paper World series, and the Baby on Board series. When she’s not writing and editing, Ruth Symons loves gardening, hiking, and hosting elaborate teddy bear tea parties with her young daughter.

Matthew Scott is an award-winning illustrator whose bold, colorful artwork can be seen in children’s books as well as on toys, games, apps, and television. His work begins with sketches using pencil and paper, which he then colors digitally.
