The Age of Revelation is over — what comes next for the X-Men?
One X-Man of the present has been stranded in the Age of Revelation, fighting against impossible odds in the world of tomorrow. But while they’ve been there, what has their future counterpart been doing in their present-day body? In the wake of world-changing events, the gene-terrorist group 3K has been revitalized. But will their internal schemes undo them? There’s trouble on more than one front, though: Who is the mutant newly put in charge of O*N*E, and what danger does that spell for the X-Men?
Canadian writer Jed MacKay has built an extensive list of credits at Marvel — including such titles as Edge of Spider-Geddon, Infinity Wars: Ghost Panther, Daughters of the Dragon and Man Without Fear. His career caught fire in 2019 with Black Cat, a character-defining phenomenon. MacKay has built on that success with his highly entertaining take on Taskmaster; a high-profile relaunch of Moon Knight; and Death of Doctor Strange, which led Clea to become the new Sorcerer Supreme in Strange. With his profile continuing to rise, MacKay took on two of Marvel’s biggest titles, Avengers and X-Men, while helming his first big crossover event in Blood Hunt.
Prolific creator Tony Daniel penciled a memorable X-Force run. At Image, he illustrated Alan Moore’s Spawn: Blood Feud miniseries and the entire run of The Tenth. Daniel wrote and drew Image’s F5 and Dark Horse’s Silke miniseries, establishing himself as a double threat. After a short stint at Top Cow penciling Tomb Raider, and writing and drawing HumanKind, Daniel moved to DC. He illustrated Geoff Johns’ Teen Titans and Bart Allen’s death in Flash, and teamed with Grant Morrison on Batman. Daniel wrote and drew the Batman: Battle for the Cowl miniseries, and then became the regular Batman writer and artist. He went on to write Savage Hawkman, and write and draw Detective Comics, for DC’s New 52.
