Sofia isn’t sure if she can be brave. But every time she looks up, she sees a dove in the clouds, watching over her. Sometimes it takes a lot of looking, and sometimes crowded tents nearly block her view. But the dove is always there with her, all the way to a possible new home.

Carin Berger is the award-winning author and illustrator of numerous picture books for children, including In the Night Garden, The Little Yellow Leaf (a New York Times Best Illustrated Book), All of Us, and Finding Spring. She is also the illustrator of Behold the Bold Umbrellaphant by Jack Prelutsky and Are We Pears Yet? by Miranda Paul. She and her family divide their time between NYC and the Hudson Valley. Carin spends all of her spare time tending her garden.
