FX has officially announced that its live-action adaptation of The Beauty will premiere on January 21, 2026 – just one day before the release of The Beauty: Book One from Ignition Press. Created by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, The Beauty is a dark sci-fi/crime hybrid that has steadily grown in popularity since its debut.

Set in a world where physical perfection can be transmitted like a disease – with dangerous consequences – The Beauty – blends noir storytelling with sharp social commentary. The comic has built a dedicated readership for its bold premise and striking visuals, and the FX adaptation is expected to expand its audience significantly.

The growing cast list includes Ashton Kutcher, Ari Graynor, Bella Hadid, John Carroll Lynch, Jeremy Pope, Lux Pascal, Megan Trainor, Nicola Peltz Beckham, and Robert Yang to name a few, reflecting the wide-ranging appeal and cultural reach of the project.

In addition to the Book One release, the run of the TV series is scheduled to coincide with the rollout of new single-issue comic releases. This release cadence will re-engage longtime readers while also bringing a new wave of first-time readers discovering the series through television.

With FX’s track record of boundary-pushing television, The Beauty is positioned to become one of the more closely watched comic-to-TV adaptations of 2026, with sustained attention likely to build as the season unfolds.
