Two of IDW’s biggest licensed properties are finally meeting in the recently announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Godzilla! IDW made the announcement during their panel at San Diego Comic-Con.
This epic new crossover tells the story of the Foot Clan’s original purpose: to save Japan from kaiju! Now, in the present day, Godzilla and its fellow monsters have reappeared. Not only is the Foot not prepared to stop them, their current leader, the villainous Shredder, may be behind the attacks! Could he be after some genetic secret of the kaiju that would allow him to engineer upgraded henchmen capable of accomplishing his evil schemes?
Can the Turtles make it to Japan in time to stop this madness?! Join superstar writer Tim Seeley (Godzilla, Grayson, Revival) and incredible artist Fero Pe (Nightwatcher, TMNT x Stranger Things) in the biggest crossover of the year!
TMNT and Godzilla have been in good hands with IDW in 2025, with the continuation of the mainline Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ongoing that began last year, and the Godzilla Kai-Sei Era, which launched with Godzilla [Kai-Sei Era] #1 last week. And both properties are also no stranger to crossovers. Under IDW, the Turtles have met the cast of Stranger Things and the great ninja Naruto. From BOOM! Studios, TMNT crossed over with Power Rangers, and from Dark Horse they crossed over with The Masters of the Universe. And Godzilla has been stomping around both the Marvel and DC universes the past two years. Not to mention its encounter with Jay Gatsby, Sherlock Holmes and the Time Machinist in IDW’s Godzilla’s Monsterpiece Theatre.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Godzilla #1 will FOC for retailers on 10/6/25. Fans can look forward to reading it on 11/12/25.
