As seen in The Hollywood Reporter, Dark Horse’s Minor Threats is officially optioned for TV development by Netflix! This is the latest in a continuing collaboration between the comic book publisher and the hit streaming company, who previously adapted The Umbrella Academy, about to enter its fourth and final season this August.
Patton Oswalt is a prolific actor and standup comedian, who created the world of Minor Threats alongside Jordan Blum, an accomplished screenwriter in his own right. The pair will also serve as showrunners, writers and executive producers — suggesting that a televised version of this world will maintain what the comic series proved to be successful.
Focused on a loosely organized group of D-list villains who unite on a dangerous mission to eliminate a terrifying villain whose actions caused their city’s heroes to impose martial law, this is a world ripe for the same kind of genre nose-twisting seen from recent successes like The Boys and the Deadpool film series.
Below you can check out upcoming titles from this rapidly expanding universe and start to familiarize yourself with the wild world of Minor Threats.
