Deadpool & Wolverine is only 10 days away! The highly anticipated movie event of the summer, and Marvel’s only film release of 2024, is approaching fast and fans have a lot to be excited for. To build hype for the last week before release, Marvel has released a new one-minute teaser called “Everyone,” which shows off some of the characters that will appear that previously had only been teased or rumored. The most notable characters featured in this teaser that have social media talking are the various alternate Deadpools who will appear. In the first 20 seconds we get a very clear shot of Lady Deadpool, Cowboy Deadpool, and Dogpool.
Dogpool has been a very heavily featured part of the marketing for the film thus far, played by Peggy, the dog dubbed “Britain’s Ugliest dog.” She has been made multiple appearances in trailers and on red carpets capturing the hearts of fans and moviegoers around the world. Lady Deadpool had only been briefly seen in a previous teaser, but this new one features her far more clearly — with the notable exception of her face, leaving the internet to speculate on who is playing her. Cowboy Deadpool is the brand-new reveal of this teaser and has caused fans to wonder just how many more Deadpools we will see in this film.
Cowboy Deadpool and Lady Deadpool both made their first appearance in Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth #7 back in 2010. Both characters were introduced as alternate universe versions of Deadpool and brought together as the Deadpool Corps in the multiversal story arc of the same name. Dogpool was also introduced as part of this story later that same year in Prelude to Deadpool Corps #3. The Deadpool & Wolverine film clearly seems to be pulling some inspiration from this story arc to tie the Deadpool and Fox X-Men film series to the MCU’s current Multiverse Saga. Fans may want to catch up on the source material after the film’s release on July 26th.
Check out these Deadpool and Wolverine collections, including Deadpool & Wolverine: WWIII which goes on FOC this coming Monday (7/22), to stock up for what is on track to be a record-breaking film release!
