Wolverine may be wrapping up an epic in his current series with Marvel Comics but when one saga ends another begins…with WOLVERINE #1 coming out September 11, 2024! In time for the iconic character’s 50th anniversary, Logan will return to where the Wolverine was born in the wilderness of Canada where he will embrace the rage as part of the new “From the Ashes” X-titles relaunch.
A new era calls for a fresh creative team and Marvel’s enlisted Saladin Ahmed (currently writing a banger of a DAREDEVIL series) and artist Martín Cóccolo’s to explore what happens when Logan gives into his inner animal.
Here’s the synopsis straight from the House of Ideas:
“There’s a killer in the woods – and as Wolverine’s attempt at peace is shattered, old enemies re-emerge as an ancient force awakens! Predating the Marvel Universe as we know it, this primal being takes a special interest in Logan, but does it see him as a hero worthy of his legendary reputation or an affront to creation that needs to be eliminated?”
