Mr. Villain’s Day Off — the low-stakes relaxing series about a supervillain who just wants to visit the zoo when he’s not making plans for world domination — has an anime release hitting Crunchyroll streaming on 1/8! I think the idea of a Doctor Doom-level villain having a soft spot in his heart for panda bears is a very funny pitch for a manga series. And everyone can commiserate with the “working for the weekend” aspect of The General’s quest to fight his way to another day off.
A secondary plotline running through this series is when our protagonist anti-hero’s relaxation time is discovered by his nemesis, a heroic member of Earth’s Rangers. Will the two begin trading blows once discovered, or will they agree to let things go when the weekend is concerned?
