Nintendo is one of the most successful brands of our time. Their polished videogames have entertained generations of players since the 1980s. They’ve parlayed this success into a larger brand empire, with the possibility of further stratospheric success with the launch of the upcoming animated Super Mario Brothers movie (catch the latest trailer here).
Kids often gravitate towards “things they recognize” when entering a store. This includes when looking at comic and book titles, a familiar face from their favorite videogame will easily draw in the eyes and hands of a shopper. There’s also a built-in adult audience of collectors and gift shoppers who will desire a well-organized prestige-format title showcasing their favorites.
