For those of you with young children this is old news, but Minecraft is insanely popular! It’s estimated that 50% of all kids 9-11 years old are currently playing the game, and 35 million students and teachers are licensed to use the Education Edition of Minecraft. The official Minecraft YouTube channel has amassed over 1 trillion (yes, that’s the right -illion!) views, and that doesn’t even touch the combined popularity of Minecraft let’s play streamers.
This popularity extends well beyond the game and into other media too, including graphic novels, player guides, prose novels, and activity books.
With the gift buying season upon us now is an excellent time to create a mini-display promoting this franchise. Parents are well aware of how popular Minecraft is with their kids, and when they come to your store to shop for gifts adding an extra book to their larger order is one of the easiest stretches a parent will make.
