The Sandman, based on the dark fantasy series by celebrated author Neil Gaiman, has dropped its first official trailer as part of Netflx’s Geek Week and announced it’s arriving on screens everywhere on August 5th, 2022!
Season 1 of Netflix’s The Sandman, which is slated to run for a total of 11 episodes, is planned to adapt book one, Preludes & Nocturnes, plus, in Gaiman’s own words, “a little bit more.”
Tom Sturridge will star as Dream, Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer, Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne, Boyd Holbrook as the Corinthian, Charles Dance as Roderick Burgess, Patton Oswalt as the voice of Matthew the raven, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Mason Alexander Park and Donna Preston as Dream’s siblings of the Endless, respectively Death, Desire and Despair. Jenna Coleman will play both Lady Johanna Constantine and Joanna Constantine, and more casting news is still to come!
