The explosive conclusion to John Ostrander’s groundbreaking Suicide Squad run, collected in a complete omnibus where every mission has a cost.
Amanda Waller’s covert Task Force X has always operated in the shadows—but its final missions push the team further than ever before. As the Squad faces escalating threats across the globe, from international conspiracies to supernatural conflicts, every member is forced to confront their limits, and not all of them will walk away unchanged. The greatest danger may come from within as the team struggles with the consequences of its actions and the system that controls it.
Written by John Ostrander, the architect of the modern Suicide Squad, this concluding volume showcases the series at its most intense and emotionally charged. With appearances by Batman, Superman, and the Justice League and storylines that span political intrigue, redemption, and sacrifice, these stories cement the Squad’s legacy as one of DC’s most daring and influential franchises.
Collects Suicide Squad #40-67, Suicide Squad: Raise the Flag #1-8, Suicide Squad: War Crimes Special #1, Secret Six (2008) #17-18 and #23, a story from The Batman Chronicles #5, and pages from The War of the Gods #3.
John Ostrander is a comics writer who co-created the science fiction series Grimjack with artist Timothy Truman. With his late wife, Kim Yale, he wrote DC's Suicide Squad and Martian Manhunter.
