BOOM! Studios are celebrating their 50th issue of Something is Killing the Children with the release of a blind bag full of surprises!
If you are not familiar with BOOM’s horror heavy hitter, Something is Killing the Children, written by James Tynion IV and illustrated by Werther Dell’Edera it’s about a small town where children begin disappearing and monster hunter Erica Slaughter arrives to battle the terrifying creatures lurking in the shadows before more lives are lost.
Vice President of BOOM, Josh Hayes announced at the ComicsPRO Retailer Day at San Diego Comic-Con that the 50th issue will be a part of their blind-bag program. The bags will be priced at $14.99. Per ICv2, Hayes says, “There’s not a single cover in this blind bag that you can buy anywhere else. There’s a third surprise that I cannot announce yet, but I am going to tell you that there is a comic and there is something else in the bag, so there is an add-on that is going to launch a whole world of things”
BOOM plans to pack pieces of chipboard between each cover and the other mysterious goodies to protect them in the bag.
